Our client is an Indonesian tech company and an e-commerce giant, which offers more than 500 millions of different products, from fashion brands to food, from electronics to beauty care and much more. It is estimated that its marketplace represents more than 1% of the Indonesian total economy. More than 12 millions of merchants are registered to our client to sell their products and the company’s reach extends to 99% of Indonesian cities. As of March 2022, its app has more than 100M downloads on Google Play Store only.
The client’s goal was to accelerate its user growth in order to increase its market share in the faster-than-ever growing Indonesian market. Therefore, the task was to scale volumes of new installs as soon as possible and to target valuable users for the client, with the aim of fueling their app user base with new potential customers.
Our campaign management team carefully designed an effective strategy with our client to meet their requests and goals. We started placing the ads in the highest possible number of app publishers through our A.I.-powered platform, which is integrated with many Real Time Bidding exchanges. By bidding in billions of auctions we were able to more than double the number of daily installs in the first two weeks of the app install campaign.
Having collected a huge amount of data about users’ post-install behaviour, we were ready to start the optimization phase, carried out by our machine learning algorithms. This allowed us to improve the click-to-install rate and increase the number of daily installs by more than 20% compared to the second week of the campaign.
Finally, in the second month, by testing new publishers and new creative concepts, we gave a boost to the app install campaign and scaled the volume of installs as the client wanted.
We delivered hundreds of thousands of new installs in 2 months, exceeding our client’s expectations. Thanks to our A.I.-based optimization, we tripled the click-to-install rate since the start of the app install campaign, generating above 10,000 installs per day.
